Whether a current or future owner or
potential guest, we invite you to spend some time,

The Coosawattee River Resort is located
just a few miles outside of Ellijay
and East Ellijay,
Georgia in the beautiful North Georgia mountains only
a short drive from Atlanta,
GA, Chattanooga,
TN and Murphy,
NC. Here you can experience all of the beauty
of all four seasons, each with its own personality
and weather.
The Coosawattee River Resort is a 8,500
+ acre development consisting of more than 7,000 individual,
privately owned lots divided by Twelve miles of the
beautiful Coosawattee River. The Coosawattee is formed
where the Ellijay and Cartecay river meet and then travels
for six or seven miles where it becomes Carter's Lake,
a gorgeous recreational lake formed by the Corps of
Engineers.
We have over 300 miles of paved and gravel roads that
can take you from urban congestion to primitive wilderness
in minutes. Inside our boundaries you will find breathtaking
views, noisy river lots, beautiful amenities,
relaxing parks and camping sites and much, much more.
You will also find wildlife of
all descriptions - deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, bears,
eagles, hawks and more, along with our stocked fishing
pond for year around enjoyment. Take some time to
